James A. Hieb, CAE, is CEO of the Natural Stone Institute (NSI), the international trade association for the
natural stone industry (marble, granite, sandstone, quartzite, limestone, slate, etc.). The Natural Stone
Institute is a trade association representing every aspect of the natural stone industry. The current
membership exceeds 2,000 members in over 50 countries.
Jim holds a bachelor degree from the University of South Dakota and also received his graduate degree
from Bowling Green State University (Ohio).
